We're excited you're considering visiting Catalyst Church! Visiting a new church can be intimidating or uncomfortable, we want you to feel at home. So, come as you are...there is no dress code! We accept you for who you are and not what you wear. Grab a hot beverage from our coffee bar and make yourself at home!

What To Expect

A typical service will last about 90 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. There is childcare available and activities for all age groups. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people as well as Pastor Johnny Ortiz!

What will my child experience?

C-Kids consist of 5 different programs in which we tailor exciting, Bible driven lessons for children to understand God and his love for us.

We engage our youth with extracurricular activities full of excitement and lessons they'll learn and will want to continue to grow on.

When We Meet

Catalyst's focus is to breakthrough the language barrier between English and Spanish, without changing the founding principles of the church as a whole. Catalyst Church is a Church of God affiliate with foundational principles of Faith, Love, Pray and the Word of God.

Meet Pastor Johnny Ortiz

Pastor Johnny and Ruth Ortiz are influential leaders who serve with excellence and integrity. They have been married for over 25 years and have three children, Anabel, Jonathon and Bella. Throughout Pastor Johnny’s 22 years of youth ministry, Ruth has been an immense help by his side. As founders and Pastors of Catalyst Church of San Antonio, under the Church of God, they are touching lives through their ministry. The vision God has placed in them is not just for the community, but it is global.
